Lemonade Diet Ingredients
For over 60 years people have been using the Lemonade Diet to help cleanse toxins while at the same time lose a few pounds. It might not be the easiest diet to follow but it has a long track record and working in ways that are just now becoming popular. To make the cleanse work, it is very important to use the right ingredients.
It really should come as no shock as to what the main ingredient of this diet is, of course, lemons. For every glass of lemon juice you consume a day you will need 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Since you will go through 2 to 10 glasses a day that is a whole lot of lemons. On top of that, just any old lemon will not do; they need to be organic lemons. Because non-organic lemons will have absorbed some of the pesticides they were sprayed with they can lose some of their cleansing properties. Also, organic limes will not do either. Obviously the are chemically slightly different (they're green!!) and they lack some of the same properties.
Next, of course, you need water. Like the lemons, just any water will not do. It needs to be distilled. Tap water contains, at the very least, chlorine. It may also be hard or soft among with many other things that could hinder the process of detoxification. This also means regular bottle water will not work either. Many of them are worse than than the tap water. You will be using your water in two ways. Of course you will need it for the lemonade but, unless you want to eat straight salt, you will need it for your flush.
Now we have the fun part of our diet and that would be the maple syrup. This will come as no big surprise but just any maple syrup will not do. You do not want the grade A syrup You do not want the grade C syrup. For our purposes only the organic grade B maple syrup will work. It need to be organic for the same reason as the water and grade B for the sugar. If you live in an area where grade B is not accessible then just use the organic. It is not perfect but is close enough. For you education, there are a few other recipes that do not require the syrup at all.
Also organic will be your cayenne pepper. This little jewel is important in this diet for many reasons and is considered one of the most beneficial of nature's plants. This will really get your blood flowing while also strongly aiding in the digestive process. It will also boost your immune system. A lot of people are a little shy of cayenne but there is no reason to worry. It is also available in a capsule form but make sure you get the organic form there a well.
Finally, make sure you have an organic sea salt; that is needed for the flush. You will want it organic for the reasons above and sea salt because it if loaded with trace elements. If the salt is too much you can substitute a laxative tea with no caffeine. It's not as good but will serve the same purpose.
